Mathieu Hikaru Desan is a historical and political sociologist with substantive interests in social theory and the histories of socialism and fascism. His work has been published in Sociological Theory, Comparative Studies in Society and History, Political Power and Social Theory, History of the Human Sciences, Critical Sociology, and Thesis Eleven. He is the author of Order, Authority, Nation: Neo-Socialism, Fascism, and Political Conversion in Interwar France (Cambridge University Press, 2026).
